Before your physician can write a prescription for any illness or condition an accurate medical history is required. Your Licensed KwikMed physician must inspect your medical consultation and either approve or disapprove of your prescription request. If you are not approved there is no charge to you. If your request is approved, you will be charged for the cost of your product and its associated shipping fee, there are no additional costs.
How to take this medication
Follow the instructions for using
Propecia® provided by the physician.
Ask your physician, nurse, or
pharmacist any questions that you
may have about the medicine. This
medicine may be taken once per day
on an empty stomach.
Side Effects
You may notice a change in sexual
function while taking Propecia®. If
the symptom persists or becomes
bothersome, check with your
physician. Contact your physician
immediately if you experience the
following symptoms of toxicity: skin
rash or swelling of lips. If you
notice other effects not listed
above, contact your physician,
nurse, or pharmacist.
Precautions
You may need to take Propecia® for
several months before noticing its
effect. Do not stop taking this
medicine without first discussing
with your physician. Discontinuing
use of this medicine will result in
a return within 12 months to the
same state of baldness as when you
began using Propecia®. It is
important to keep all physician and
laboratory appointments while taking
Propecia®. Be certain to check with
your physician before taking any
additional prescription or
non-prescription medication.
Pregnant women or women who may
become pregnant should not handle
crushed or broken Propecia® tablets.
If a woman who is pregnant comes in
contact with crushed or broken
tablets of this medicine, contact a
physician immediately.
Drug Interactions
Tell your physician about any
medications (nonprescription and
prescription) you take, especially
any nitrate medications (e.g.,
nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate),
nitroprusside (any "nitric oxide
donor" medicines), cimetidine,
erythromycin, azole antifungals
(e.g., itraconazole, ketoconazole),
mibefradil, rifamycins (e.g.,
rifampin) or high blood pressure
medicines.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose of Propecia® and
you remember that day, take it as
soon as possible. If you do not
remember until the following day,
skip the missed dose and go back to
your usual medication schedule.
Never take 2 doses at the same time.
Storage
Keep your medication at room
temperature between 59 and 86
degrees F (15-30 degrees C) and do
not expose to light or moisture. All
medicines must be kept out of reach
of children.
Additional Advisory
Never share Propecia® with others,
they may have a condition that
cannot be treated by this medicine
or may be susceptible to dangerous
reactions. Do not use this medicine
to treat any medical conditions. If
you are using Propecia® for a
prolonged period be certain to
obtain refills before your supply is
exhausted.
